This survey is just as complicated and poorly thought through as the ARR system itself. For example
all questions after Q10 presuppose a specific answer to Q10 and tacitly imply some support for ARR system
- sort of like asking “Have you stopped smoking” presupposes that the person smokes, which may not
be true. From the author standpoint, the ARR system is extraordinarily and unjustifiably complicated,
lacks transparency and timeliness - the most valuable aspects of conferences. I have presented at ACL
multiple times but I am going to think twice about submitting anything in the future if ARR continues
- that would be a shame.
