Tags: * ARR review load too high * no ACs, just SACs * one FTE not enough

"In addition to the problems mentioned, the use of off-ARR Google Sheets makes editing very confusing.
The hierarchy of SAC -> AE -> reviewer seems needlessly deep and creates confusion about whose job it
is to monitor missing reviews and allows multiple points of failure (missing reviewer or missing AE
can both derail a submission). Having SACs directly oversee reviewers seems like a better practice.
A paid FTE is a good start but I am concerned that this is not enough--- NAACL seemed to generate enough
work for more than one FTE. I am more reluctant to volunteer as SAC/AC for ARR-based conferences than
I ever have been for softconf-based conferencesSEMICOLON I have more uncertainty about my load, the
deadlines seem shorter and there are more people to manage."
